Cooperation between AI systems and physicians can have negative consequences if physicians focus too much on the proposals of AI systems instead of reviewing them. This is often referred to as automation bias.
Within the project, a gullibility analysis will be performed to investigate to what extent both inexperienced and experienced radiologists rely on the predictions of neural networks. Clinical metrics and uncertainty estimates will be monitored throughout the process and will be provided to radiologists as additional information.
